NEWS AND MEDIA RELATIONS INTERN - Intern will prepare news and feature
stories for internal and external (local, state, regional, national,
and international media outlets) use as assigned, as well as
assist in the planning of promotional efforts for the Division
of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. Tasks will advance
the student's ability in interviewing; news and feature writing
in Associated Press and other professional writing styles; editing;
news judgment; understanding appropriate media requirements and
demands for print, broadcast, and electronic mediums; use of
applicable computer software; and understanding and using basic
layout and design elements for print and electronic publications.
Intern must be available to work a minimum of 8 hours per week
and adhere to an official work schedule designated at the start
of the internship.
IMAGING TECHNICIAN - Intern will assist OSU Agricultural
Communications Services personnel in the digital production of photographs
and art, updating and maintaining image databases, and possibly
shooting photographs in support of Division programs and projects.
Tasks will advance the student's ability in the field of photography,
using Photoshop and other computer software, and understanding "imaging"
related needs of print and electronic media. Intern must be available
to work a minimum of 8 hours per week and adhere to an official
work schedule designated at the start of the internship.

OKLAHOMA GARDENING " ASSISTANT PRODUCER - Intern will assist
the producer/director and host of the weekly "Oklahoma Gardening" television
program. Intern duties may include any combination of the following:
shoot and edit video, design and create graphics using Photoshop
software, and assist in the development of promotional materials.
Tasks will advance the student's ability in video editing, DVD production,
public relations, and possibly video production. Intern must be available
to work a minimum of 8 hours per week and adhere to an official work
schedule designated at the start of the internship.
ELECTRONIC PUBLICATIONS EDITOR - Intern will assist with development
of Web pages for the Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural
Resources and OSU Agricultural Communications Services. Intern also
will assist with development of Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service's
online publications library and edit publications for electronic,
and possibly print, use. Tasks will advance the student's ability
in appropriate computer software, including PhotoShop, InDesign,
html text editor, and Adobe Acrobat. Intern must have completed ENGL
1113 and 1213 and should have completed JB 3263, AGCM 3223, or ENGL
3323 with a grade of "B" or better. Intern must be available
to work a minimum of 8 hours per week and adhere to an official work
schedule designated at the start of the internship.
